What makes Lithuanian buckwheat honey special?
Buckwheat honey is one of the most nutritious honeys, with a rich taste, a pleasant consistency and a memorable aroma. Of all the honeys sold in Lithuania, buckwheat honey has the highest antioxidant and iron content. These qualities make Lithuanian buckwheat honey highly valued on the foreign market. Since the human body is able to absorb almost all of the valuable substances from honey, it is highly recommended for people suffering from anaemia and to strengthen the nervous system.
This honey is produced by placing beehives next to buckwheat fields. The larger the area of these cereal fields, the purer the honey. Unfortunately, under natural conditions, we cannot produce honey that is collected only from a particular plant - after all, you cannot tell the bee which nectar to collect and which not to collect.
Genuine buckwheat honey is very dark brown and has a strong aftertaste, which takes some getting used to. It is usually either the most favourite honey or, on the contrary, the most unpalatable honey. To us, it tastes a bit like burnt caramel or just a sweet dessert.
This honey is best eaten on its own or in teas. In fact, a teaspoon of this honey in warm water flavoured with lemon will make a mild herbal tea. If you like spiced latte coffee, you could try adding this honey to your coffee with milk - it will add a light, wintery flavour to your drink. For a winter discovery, this honey can also be added to various baked goods instead of sugar.
We recommend storing honey in a cool, dark place.

I got your honey! So what can I say - wow how happy I am to have discovered, after many years, the real real real honey! My grandfather was a beekeeper, after he passed away 10+ years ago we no longer had any honey and I have been searching for a long, long time for that real, unadulterated, no additives, real honey honey smell like my grandfather. Buckwheat honey is my favourite. However, I only remembered that favourite honey from my childhood until I discovered Brother's honey. It has a rich flavour, it is so real, I highly recommend it, especially to those who like buckwheat honey, and I was pleasantly surprised when I bought this honey.
